vote here on this year's
celebration media contest submissions!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Review the submissions in each of our 11 Primes by clicking each of the buttons below and choose your favorite in each Prime. (Note that some Primes have a lot more submissions than others. For example, a couple have only one entry, some others have 2-6, while Visual Arts has almost 20!)
  2. Once you have settled on your favorites, CLICK HERE to open your Google ballot form.
  3. WE WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR COMPLETED BALLOT NOT LATER THAN 11:59 PM THIS COMING SUNDAY, JANUARY 11.
  4. Record your choices on the ballot. The ballot entries in each Prime correspond to the student names on the submissions.
  5. Note that you do NOT need to vote in every Prime. You can always choose “Abstain.” But you DO need to select an option in each Prime: Either a student name or “Abstain.”
  6. Perhaps it goes without saying, but please ABSTAIN from voting for your own student or (if you’re a student or parent) for students in your own or your student’s Prime.
  7. Just FYI, the student statement accompanying each entry is the student’s response to the following question: How does your work reflect George Washington Carver’s words, “Since new developments are the products of a creative mind, we must therefore stimulate and encourage that type of mind in every way possible.” What do his words mean to you?
  8. If you have any questions or problems accessing the submissions or casting your ballot, please feel free to email us at contest@carvercenterfoundation.org.
  9. HAVE FUN!! And thank you! We really appreciate your time and participation!💖

Once we’ve received and counted all the ballots, we’ll be back in touch to resolve any ties and to choose the Grand Prize winner from the winners in each Prime.
