Committee Descriptions

Advocacy Committee
The act of giving support to the Foundation’s mission and persuading those in the community to act in support of this mission.

Alumni Committee
The purpose is to foster a spirit of loyalty and to promote the general welfare of the Carver Center. We exist to support the Foundation’s goals, and to strengthen the ties between alumni, the community, and the Foundation.

Carver Center Celebration Committee
Carver Celebration is the major fundraiser for the Carver Center Foundation.

Assist the co-chairs who coordinate Celebration in one of the following ways:

    • Culinary students and local chefs to cater the event. This showcases our culinary prime.
    • Silent auction
    • Communications with media and print material
    • Invitation design
    • Advertising
    • Sponsorship
    • Event layout and logistics
    • Ticket Sales

Communications Committee
Opportunities to assist with the Foundation website: blog/posts/calendar, summer mailing, monthly E-newsletters, marketing – radio/print communications, graphic design: creating brochures and event flyers, Facebook entries/posts and coordination of the foundation’s database.

Development Committee
Planning and implementing fundraising activities that support the mission of the Foundation, excluding the annual Carver Celebration.

Parent Committee
This committee coordinates all hospitality and other foundation events that require volunteers.

Sports Booster
Organizes fundraisers to support the sports program and coordinate the sports awards for fall, winter and spring sports
