Daniel Wolfgang

This piece came to me in a sudden spark of inspiration. My intention was to redesign the way to display a candle. I wanted to have my own chandelier sitting at the table, instead of all the way up on the ceiling, where it's harder to appreciate and manage a candle that is placed inside. When I brought the idea to my metal working instructor, he too found the project interesting and helped me to cultivate my idea into reality. He taught me how to bend the metal into bars, weld them together, make the chain from scratch, and thread the holes so the screws hold firm. Because of this project I have learned a myriad of skills that will help me on future projects as I continue my metal working journey.
